Why am I asked (sometimes not asked) questions during check-in/out?
Why am I asked (sometimes not asked) questions during check-in/out?
In MyKidReports, whether or not you see health or safety questions during check-in/out depends on the school’s settings:
None – No questions are shown at either check-in or check-out.
Check-in – Questions appear only at check-in, not at check-out.
Check-out – Questions appear only at check-out, not at check-in.
Both – Questions appear during both check-in and check-out.
If your school has turned on check-in questions, you will be prompted to answer them before completing check-in/out. If the school has turned off this feature, no questions will appear at all.
Why am I asked (sometimes not asked) to sign during check-in/out?
Why am I asked (sometimes not asked) to sign during check-in/out?
Similarly, whether you are asked for a digital guardian signature depends on how your school has set up the signature requirement:
None – No signature is required.
Check-in – A signature is required only at check-in.
Check-out – A signature is required only at check-out.
Both – A signature is required at both check-in and check-out.
If your school has turned on guardian signatures, you will be required to provide a digital signature at the designated stage. If the school has turned off this feature, no signature will be required.
Benefit:
This feature provides an additional layer of accountability and security, ensuring that a verified guardian is responsible for each check-in and check-out. It helps schools maintain accurate attendance records and gives parents peace of mind.
Why does the QR code work sometimes and expire at other times?
Why does the QR code work sometimes and expire at other times?
If your school has turned on QR code regeneration, older codes will expire after a set time (e.g., every hour), and you must scan the updated code to check in/out. If regeneration is turned off, the same QR code remains active and does not expire. This feature is designed for security purposes, ensuring that outdated codes cannot be reused.
Why can’t I check in from outside the school premises?
Why can’t I check in from outside the school premises?
If the school has turned on geo-fencing, parents can only check in/out within the set distance around the school.
Benefit:
This feature enhances accuracy and security by ensuring that attendance is recorded only when a guardian is physically present near the school. It prevents accidental or false check-ins from outside the premises, helping schools maintain reliable records.
