How does geo-fencing affect check-in?

Discover how geo-fencing works in MyKidReports and how it ensures secure child check-ins.

Written by MyKidReports

Geo-fencing ensures that check-in or check-out can only happen when you are within a set distance from the school, such as 50 meters. This prevents check-ins from being done remotely and ensures attendance is recorded only when you are physically at the center.

Why can’t I check in from outside the school premises?

If the school has turned on geo-fencing, parents can only check in/out within the set distance around the school.

Benefit:
This feature enhances accuracy and security by ensuring that attendance is recorded only when a guardian is physically present near the school. It prevents accidental or false check-ins from outside the premises, helping schools maintain reliable records.

What happens if I am outside the geo-fence range?

If you are outside the geo-fence range, the system will not allow you to check your child in or out. You must be within the set boundary around the school to complete attendance. This helps ensure check-ins are accurate and only recorded when you are physically at the center.
